Steve Stivers 120,067
Mary Jo Kilroy 119,103
There will be an automatic recall if margin of victory is 1%. Two years ago, when I worked aggressively on her campaign to unseat Deborah Pryce, who retired this year, we had the exact same thing. We didn't have a result until mid-December. Mary Jo lost that one by a little over one hundred votes.
So while I would love for Mary Jo to win and know she's much more qualified than this banking industry lobbyist Stivers, my apologies to Steve Stivers for calling this too early and my best wishes to Mary Jo. And I blame those two bozos, the "Independent" (just what the hell did he think he'd ever accomplish without party backing?) and this Libertarian. They each garnered over 11,000 votes! Most of those people would have probably voted Democrat.
