It seems lately I'm only writing tributes, but today's is a little different.
The world lost a true American hero today in Senator John S. McCain.
His honor, bravery, heroism, and true love of his country overshadow any political differences I had with him or that most had.
It's with great irony that he died on the same date at one of his best friends, Senator Ted Kennedy, did nine years earlier.
He also died at the same age of his own father.
Thank you, Senator, for 60 years of service to it our country.
My warmest regards go to his wife and family and to his mother, who is 106 years old.
May you rest in peace.
