Politics, Pleasure and Scandal: The Intriguing Parables of Nick Giuliani, a novel I've worked on, written, scrapped, rewritten and now in redux, should be released sometime in early 2018.
In the grand tradition of potboiling storytellers like Harold Robbins, Sidney Sheldon and Jackie Collins, my hope has always been to bring a good story of man, spirit, success and demons back to books. We become wrapped in trying to be too literary or too commercial and telling a story has often been lost.
My intentions are to let the reader escape and if they take something away from my story, or if they find themselves wondering what the characters are doing once they've finished the book, then I've been successful in my purpose.

Science Always Beats Religion. Always.

There is an age old battle of science vs. religion.
It shouldn't exist, but those claiming religion insist on it.
Why?
Because they have never won.
Faith is not fact. It is a belief. And beliefs vary. I believe lobster is better than fish. But it's not a fact.
The sooner the pushers of religion stop putting themselves into a category they have no business in, the better the entire world will be and peace will finally be given a chance.

I hear a lot of self proclaimed progressives these days out there bashing the Democratic left with equal fervor as they do the religious conservative right. They stand on their soapboxes under the guise of making progress. I was driving today, a place where a good deal of my best thoughts occur, and was struck with this thought. They have strong, immobile principles and thoughts, most of which are noble and just, but they're often unwilling to compromise to even move one inch forward.  Action speaks volumes about moving ahead toward goals. My thoughtful conclusion to the powwow in my brain was this original thought: You can stand on principle or walk toward progress.

A Redirect of Blame Is Coming, and Death of Roger Ailes

It's important I say this now.
With the appointment of special counsel and the inevitability of DonJohn the Con's removal from office.
Donald Trump will soon try to redirect the attention to Secretary Clinton by ordering another review of either the phony email story or the Benghazi fable.
He must keep stoking the fire to keep the uneducated and ignorant base now that he's lost all Indepedents or Hillary haters.
Again, he will start using phony stories, conspiracy theories and campaign lies to make people believe he's better than she was.
He's not.
History will remember him as the single biggest joke in American history and a pus filled pimple of the good face of American democracy.
Also: Roger Ailes died this morning. I'm a bleeding heart liberal and a compassionate human, but his death brings me great joy, because he did more damage to our nation than many of the dictators we've killed over the past few years ever have. Ailes was a cancer on real freedom and I'm happy he's no longer around to spread.

The First Firing of a Director

Last night, the illegal occupant in the Oval Office fired the Director of the FBI, James Comey.
Let this serve as a bullet point in the eventual removal, impeachment, arrest and/or resignation of the single darkest blot on American democracy since slavery.
